Deacon Blue, "Twist and Shout"
Misheard Lyrics:
So you walk a little in your love mat, are you sure your a*se can see the right side?
I see a pale girl in a blue room with a pink dress and a white smile
(Later)
Jump the hoop, the whole world is just good as standing around
At the table and the things you say don't seem so certain as in harmony
When we kissed at midnight and the lady bell had
Gave me courage for my heart's jealousy
Original Lyrics:
So you walk a little in a long mile to be sure your eyes can see the right sights
I see a pale girl in a blue room with a pink dress and a wide smile
(Later)
Junk food the whole world over's good as standing 'round
So it's April and the things you say don't seem as certain as on Hogmanay
When we kissed at midnight and the wee, wee bell had
Gave me courage for my heart to tell
Hogmanay is the name given to the celebration of the New Year in Scotland (the band are Scottish). "Wee" means "small" in Scotland so in this song "wee, wee bell" means "small, small bell".
