Brummel, Brooke, and Belle have nothing to do with cats, each other, or anything else, so far as I can tell. Meanwhile candle, book, and bell are all items necessary for a traditional means of Roman Catholic excommunication, and by extension ideas about their use have spread, mutated and been widely misunderstood as items used in exorcising demons, summoning Satan or other devils/demons, or opening a gate to Hell, all of which uses can be related to cats in the context of their traditional role as witches' familiars.
