Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, "Ohio"
Misheard Lyrics:
This summer I heard them comin', oh daddy, in Ohio
Gotta get down to him
Soldiers are gunning us down.
Should have been done long ago.
Gotta get it through her head - pound her head on the ground
Original Lyrics:
This summer I hear the drummin'
Four dead in Ohio
Gotta get down to it.
Soldiers are gunning us down.
Should have been done long ago.
What if you knew her and
Found her dead on the ground?
I was too young to know what the song was about so rather than being shocked by the Nixon administration and sociopolitical climate I thought it was shockingly misogynous!
