Kewpie is a Japanese brand of mayonnaise, Droopy was a 1960s Western cartoon short about a dog aptly named Droopy. (Also, DeBarge was a band popular in the 80's, but obviously they weren't yet around at the time this song was made. Actually, the members were alive, but still kids, and they were not yet known to the public eye. So the name was obviously around.)
