Band Name Origins:

The name for the R&B group know as Jodeci was created by combining the names of the group members: (Jo) from JoJo Hailey, (De) from Devante Swing, and (Ci) from K-ci Hailey. Mr. Dalvin did not join the group untill after they had chose the name, but the group sometimes refers to their recording process as the Jodeci-Dal process, incorperating Mr. Davlin's name.
