Misheard Song Lyrics -> Stories -> Blink182

Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody. For more information about the misheard lyrics available on this site, please read our FAQ.

This page contains a list of the songs that have stories about their misheard lyrics submitted.

Song names are sorted by first letter, excluding A and The. This is sorted by song title only, not by song title and performer. So if two different performers preformed the same song, you'll see misheard lyrics for both on the same page (provided the song title was spelt the same both times, and misheard lyrics have been submitted for both!).

Blink 182 album at
Blink182's, "Adam's Song"
The Misheard Lyrics:
I never conquered when you came
16 just held such better lays.
The Real Lyrics:
I never conquered rarely came
16 just held such better days.
The Story: Well, I knew it was supposed to be an anti- suicide song, and I didn't think the lyrics made any sense. So I asked my brother and his girlfriend what they thought about the lyrics. They just looked at one another and started laughing at me. Then they told me the actual lyrics. Then they told everyone what I thought the lyrics were. I was soooo embarassed. But now that I look back at it, the whole situation seems really funny. - Submitted by: Silver
Blink182's, "What's My Age Again?"
The Misheard Lyrics:
once upon I walk alone to get the feeling right
The Real Lyrics:
I wore cologne to get the feeling right
The Story: Someone leaves you and you need to be alone sometimes just to get your mind out of stuff. - Submitted by: sue
