"Hey Sandy"
Misheard Lyrics: Can you sell me a shroom, babe?
or Can you settle to shoot me? Original Lyrics: Can we settle this soon, babe?
|
Story about this misheard lyric by: Adaysleeper Actually, there's a debate as to whether or not the words are, 'Can you settle to shoot me/' or 'Can you sell me a 'shroom babe?' The band isn't clarifying which one it is. One good reason is that if it is a drug reference, having that in a theme song for a kids program (the adventures of pete & pete) would prevent the show from being rerun in syndication with the existing theme song. [Ed.'s note: I'm pretty sure there is no drug reference in a children's show theme, but there was a controversy over a Mighty Mouse cartoon and Ralph Bakshi, so anything's possible.] |
