Band Name Origins:

  • wow i can't believe i'm the first to post this!! the band were working under the name 'the Kays', when Crispian met a guru called Kula Sekhara, named after a 9th century indian mystic. the guru told him that if he renamed his band after the mystic then they would be guided to success. they changed their name to Kula Shaker, and a month or so later they had a record deal! spooky.
