Why They're Nonsensical:

This doesn't make sense, because you don't see with your ears. It should be "If I'm louder, would you hear me?"

One Direction's, "What Makes You Beautiful (2010s)"

The Nonsensical Lyrics:

You don't know you're beautiful
That's what makes you beautiful

Why They're Nonsensical:

In this hypothetical situation, the fact a girl has no idea she is good looking makes her good looking. This is impossible. For her ignorance of her beauty to make her beautiful, she would have to first be beautiful to not know she is beautiful. Therefore, not knowing she is beautiful cannot be the reason she is beautiful because she is already beautiful. For this song to make sense they could have said 'that's what makes you more beautiful'. Not so pithy perhaps but it would annoy me less so that's a plus.
