Why They're Inappropriate:
The lyrics here and throughout the song indicate that the singer is firmly rooted in Saginaw, Michigan. That city is on the Saginaw River, but 10-20 miles from the nearest point on Saginaw Bay (Bay City is the significant city that is right on Saginaw Bay). So the singer's rooted-ness throughout the song in Saginaw, Michigan itself is hardly consistent with the part about growing up in a house on Saginaw Bay.
