Cry, Cry, Cry album at
Dar Williams', "Alleluia"
The Funny Lyrics:
This cryptofascist mania is silicon deliria, 'Yes', she said. 'You're right, but I like the cafeteria'.
Why They're funny:
The whole song's just about as crazy as this, this is just my particular fave line.

Dar Williams', "The Christians and the Pagans"
The Funny Lyrics:
And where does magic come from? I think magic's in the learning,
'Cause now when Christians sit with Pagans only pumpkin pies are burning.
Why They're funny:
Earlier in the song, the mother of the family dodges a religious question by exclaiming that the pies are burning. I love the way she references past verses, and the obvious allusion to the Salem trials.

Dar Williams', "The Pointless Yet Poignant Crisis of a Co-ed"
The Funny Lyrics:
I'm not a leader, i'm not a left - wing rhetoric mobilizing force of one,
But there was a time way back, many years ago in college - don't laugh,
But I thought I was a radical, I ran the Hemp Liberation League with my boyfriend.
It was true love, with a common cause, and besides that, he was a Sagittarius.
Why They're funny:
Dar has some classic lyrics. These are only a few.
