Lyle Lovett's, "Don't Touch My Hat"
The Funny Lyrics:
My John B. Stetson
Was my only friend
And we've stuck together
Through many a woman
...So if it's her you want
I don't care about that
You can have my girl
But don't touch my hat
Why They're funny:
He doesn't care if someone takes his girlfriend, but he DOES care if someone touch his hat! So be careful!

Lyle Lovett's, "If I Had A Boat"
The Funny Lyrics:
If I had a boat, I'd sail it on the ocean
And if I had a pony, I'd ride him on my boat
Why They're funny:
Sung from the point of view of a small child. Almost all of Lyle's songs have his dry, quirky sense of humor. Great song writer and lyricist.

Man I need to impress her
'Cause I want to undress her
Why They're funny:
'Nuff said.

Lyle Lovett's, "They Don't Like Me"
The Funny Lyrics:
She said 'You know he doesn't drink much
And we've never heard him curse
And he's really not that ugly, Dear
She could have done much worse'
Why They're funny:
A song about his inlaws, and his belief of their reaction to him. The joke is that Lyle is famously unattractive.
