Original Performer:

Judy Garland

Parody Song Title:

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

This is from a complete irreverent parody of the MGM movie "The Wizard of Oz", renamed "The Doctor of Snooze"
Someday, I'll leave this farm life
Get real high
Then these clods I'll be leaving
As soon as a breeze blows by

Someday, I'll get a boyfriend
Sing this tune
You may think I sound loony
But I'll date Mickey Rooney soon

Someday I'll make this theme song mine
And leave this black and white so far behind me
I'll live a famous life and then become a mogul's wife
And have a kid named "Liza"

Someday, I'll get addicted
Drugs and booze
Then I think I will O.D.
And take that big loady snooze

Rick D - Normally wouldn't look at an "Over The Rainbow" parody from anyone but I was going thru today's entries one-by-one (first time I've done that) and here it was. I "4'd" it across. I did like the way you finished it with the last verse. It made me grin some.
