Song Parodies -> "That's Annoying"

Original Song Title:

"That's Amore"

Original Performer:

Dean Martin

Parody Song Title:

"That's Annoying"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

On intercoms
In cheap cafes
Throughout your meal
Here's what they play...

When a bug hits your eye like a big mincemeat pie
That's annoying
When your kids start to whine 'cause they drank turpentine
That's annoying

Wormy cheese
Anthrax in your peas
And mosquitoes

Soggy fries
Mace sprayed in your eyes
Getting sodomized
By fat guys
Wearing Speedos

When you're trapped up a tree, forced to gnaw off your knee
That's annoying
When a dog falls in love with your leg, it's kind of
When the mob's frickin' pissed
And it's you they insist on destroying
C'est la vie, but you see, being whacked painful-ly
That's annoying

When your wife does your friends then takes off with your Benz
That's annoying

Real annoying!

When the mice in your bed slowly chew off your head
That's annoying

Way annoying!

Eyebrow sprains

Falling out of planes

Getting stuck in drains

Charred remains -
Quite perturbing!

We're perturbed - we're perturbing!

Bums that glow

Watching "Average Joe"
Shooting off your toe

Russell Crowe

How disturbing!

When - you -
Swing with your bat but you can't hit your cat

That's annoying

Cats annoy me!

When you find camel butts in your bowl of Grape Nuts
That's a drag

When a shark
Starts to chew
And it's clear
That it's you he's enjoying

Zut alors
But I'm sure
I've faced more

Because you're
That annoying!

You're annoying!

This is the first time I'm sincerely glad someone got to an idea before I got around to using it. You really need to start stalking a video director too though.

Interesting point of view, Spaff, but check out, and scroll near the bottom for a stream Morey's similarly sung (but altogether differently-themed) "That's Amore" called The Annoying Song. 555

Spaff - hmmm...I think I'm dropping in the "Most Disturbed Writer's On Amiright" rankings. (Not that I've ever been the leader, but at times I think I've been close) I'm seeing much in just today's entries It's not annoying but it is disturbing...This one is heavily twisted even by my standards. I think you gave me a similar complement a few months back...
M-Dawg - April 09, 2004 - Report this comment
your pretty good! i just didn't like the cat part!
Jan Unwin - April 09, 2004 - Report this comment
I didn't think I'd ever like this song, now I do!
Robert J. Pagliaro - April 09, 2004 - Report this comment
Ummm, I'm speechless. Your talent is a given but it's an outside the box write such as this which illustrates your unlimited creativity. (I also thinking your getting better grass out there.) bob
Robert J. Pagliaro - April 09, 2004 - Report this comment
And if I could write as well as you, that last sentence would have been written this way: (I'm also thinking that you're getting better grass out there.) Spaff, I always enjoy reading your stuff. bob - April 09, 2004 - Report this comment
Thanx, Jackie & Johnny Angel (x2) & Ravyn & Evenstar & C4P & Nightmare & Patagio & Laurence & Billy Don't Be A Florio & M-Dawg & Janwin!

Aggro: Damn - I Googled this idea a few different ways but didn't see that. Finding out that your originality was originally originated somewhere else (whether by that guy or in Claude's brain) is - dare I say it? - annoying.

P-Rob: Don't sell yourself short, man - you're VERY disturbed.

RJP: Heh heh. The end of your first comment has me convinced you know whereof you speak.

Phil Alexander - May 06, 2004 - Report this comment
Damn, that's good... I realize that I only know the first couple of lines of the original, but I can work out what this song's all about, I'm just toying, for it's clear to me ha ha ha, hee hee hee... not annoying :-)
Jeff Reuben - May 06, 2004 - Report this comment
Excellent...laughed enough that I have to explain why to my co-workers.
Jake A Ralphing (Luke Brattoni) - May 06, 2004 - Report this comment
I also laughed so hard that co-workers came to see what was going on. Then I remembered that I had broken into their office and don't work there. They kicked me out without letting me dwell on how absurdly hilarious gnawing off your knee is to get down from a tree. ... ... ... THAT'S ANNOYING!
Jared - May 07, 2004 - Report this comment

Still funny (if oddball) stuff, Spaff. I think this makes six of your eight winning works so far and I'm still not sick of ya. I am, however, gonna have to dock you for the sheer corny-ness of 'That's a drag' ;c) - March 14, 2005 - Report this comment
Thanx for delaying your illness, 2nz. And sorry - after "camel butts" I couldn't help myself.
2nz - March 14, 2005 - Report this comment
Oh yeah. 'Spaff-y Lewis' = a pretty much failed attempt to combine your name with that of Jerry "Lewis", who worked with Dean Martin for a very long while. Not sure what brought it on, I think that's what my pills are for. - September 12, 2005 - Report this comment
2nz: Heh heh. Sorry it took me six months to get the joke.

Here's another parody of the same song. Not original with me, but I can't find it on the Web and don't remember who did it. It was one of those groups like Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts. When she says, "What the hell. Let's go find a motel," That's amore. When it's quarter to four and she's screaming for more, That's amore. When her husband walk in, then you know you're not dreaming, Sigiore. You're found dead in your bed with a hole in your head. That's amore.
Bill - June 22, 2015 - Report this comment
Never heard the recording but used to sing this version (I filled in missing lines) . . . screaming for more, that's amore (or "give her some more". Bells will ring tingalingaling tingalingaling and you'll say, "what the hella?" "I'm beginning to think that this gal is too much for one fella. No use getting peplexed 'cause this gal's oversexed, that's amore. When she gives you the line, it's her very first time, that's a lie. When her husband walks in . . .
