Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Having coined the word "transvestitillate" in my Ecstatic In Drag parody, this one became almost inevitable, I guess...
Fishnet stockings, thigh-high boots
Stiletto'd celebration
Trimmed with lace all o'er the place
And you basque in the sensation
But if you're male and dress like this
It's transvestitillation

All around the USA
And all of western civilization
There's always men who'll find again
They'll succumb to the temptation
It's understood that Hollywood
Likes transvestitillation

Ain't no need for surgery
It's not your gender changing
Lace and curls give them cheap frills
To see your rear arranging

First guess, cross dress
Hard and in distress
Dream of transvestitillation
Dream of transvestitillation

He ain't no girl he's a fairy to the world
It's the natural implication
He'll try to hide his penis inside
Sorry - too much information
But his reward for being old and bored
Is transvestitillation

Lace may be a final frontier
But leather's a better material
For adding bits and studs and shit
For an effect that's kinda ethereal
So come on punk and make my day
With transvestitillation

Unamused, somewhat confused
Discombobulation
Being told a secret is
Intimate intimation

Next guess, undress
Somewhat unimpressed
Dream of transvestitillation
Dream of transvestitillation

It's so obscene the parlour queen
Obsessed with procreation
And all his ilk are clad in silk
Go marching in formation
That sort of pride should be kept inside
It's transvestitillation

Tell your surgeon: go to hell
You don't want that operation
Sicker than the rest
The way you're dressed
Yet more excoriation

Foresworn silk horn
Was torn, now gorne
No more transvestitillation
No more transvestitillation

Easily one of the best Parodies i've read!!! It's original, funny and fast. Brilliant! Shame about the careless pacing in places...

I find that the original throws in a load of extra words on the occasional line: I was only trying to follow what they actually sing...

Fair comment. The pacing's not a major issue - the parody's still one of the best i've read

PS... thanks, anyway

I didn't vote on that parody because of its date, yours was a bit more, shall we say, runnier than mine. :) I came up with that parody on my own ( believe it or not ), then checked that song and found your parody after mine was mostly finished ( I've only been posting here a month ).

I know, Red Ant - I wasn't suggesting it was copied: as you say, it was pretty much at the other end of the, er, solidity scale ;-)

Good deal. BTW, was this site alot more popular back then? I saw ALOT of votes, but read few comments of real authors names that related to the parody. Did they get deleted or something? I know you weren't suggested it was copied, just checked out that song to make sure that there wasn't something really close to what I had in mind. PS--THIS parody needs to be recorded. :)

Pacing was good, considering how trippy the original is... The wording was extremely clever; were you using a thesaurus when you wrote this? lol
Phil Alexander - March 25, 2005 - Report this comment
Thesaurus? No, not for this one, MrMac (though I did use the dictionary to check that I was using discombobulation in context).
Red Ant - it's always kind of perplexed me why that parody picked up so many votes: before Mend My PC lost nearly a hundred, that one was my third most voted-on song.. now it's the second. It's fairly obvious why the others picked up that many votes ("I Hate Britney Spears" in particular, but this one much less so.

Your a genius

I can't come up with a pun for this comment, because you've used them all in the parody. 555 non-discombobulated votes from me.
Red Ant - March 28, 2005 - Report this comment
I saw that I Hate Britney Spears song ( guessed it was from I love rock and roll, which was right ), and no comments are allowed on that one, so I am suspicious as vote inflation cannot be proved nor disproved ( especially when they are all over the place on that one )
Phil Alexander - March 29, 2005 - Report this comment
er...no comments on this one? http://www.amiright.com/parody/80s/joanjettandtheblackhearts2.shtml - 136 at last count. Re vote inflation, when it received something like 19 votes overnight, I queried it with Chuck - he said that the votes had come in from different IP addresses with quite a few different root domains... looks like it's a common internet search, so people keep dropping in unexpected.
Red Ant to Phil A. - March 29, 2005 - Report this comment
I must have clicked another parody, because that one had well over 80 votes but comments were not allowed. I didn't even realize YOU wrote that parody, I know you wouldn't inflate your own votes. WOW, that one has a crapton of votes, I guess it must have gotten pretty far up in a search engine somehow and people voted on it. The best I've managed so far is 10 votes on 3 songs, but thats to be expected as I pick fairly obscure songs.

The author of the parody has authorized comments, and wants YOUR feedback.
