The writing of this song was started during the Soccer World Cup 2002. One day it just struck me that The Borg in Star Trek could be seen as a metaphor for The English National Football Team´s achievements in those events. The Borg always seems to be invincible before the fight starts, but in the end they always loose against The Enterprise or Voyager, just like the English always seems to loose against Germany or Brazil. Both The Borg and The English also has a Queen as their front figure! (And do I dare mention the word "square"? *smiles*). Well, thanks to this, now they also have an anthem to bind them together, because the original was The English Team´s anthem during the World Cup in Italy 1990.
