The Lyrics

Two other Amiright authors without this parody wouldn't exist. The first one is Phil Alexander who wrote a scientific parody about Schroedinger's cat about a week ago ("Box with a cat in": http://www.amiright.com/parody/60s/themoodyblues21.shtml) and supplied inspiration. The other one is Jack "Red Ant" Fletcher (the foremost expert here on AiC songs) who was kind enough to offer some line suggestions when I asked him about the idea.
Miaow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow
Miaow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow

I'm the cat in the box
Locked me in - I sit
Don't you look and kill me, kill me

Miaow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow, can you get me out?
Schro-no-no-no-no-dinger, don't be a shaker
Cy-i-i-i-anide, I can taste it, Oh!
Miaow-aow-aow-aow-aow, let me out you mutts!

Miaow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow
Miaow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow

I'm alive, will you bet?
Still my nose is wet
Don't you look and kill me, kill me

Miaow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow, someone get me out!
Schro-no-no-no-no-dinger's, a purr life taker
Ay-ay-ay-ay-I'm-encased, pussy's waste now
Miaow-aow-aow-aow-aow, what is wrong with ducks?

(A philosophical question: If a solo is played in the middle of a song, and the listener skips it, is it still part of the tune?)

Miaow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow, PETA, hear me shout!
Schro-no-no-no-no-dinger's, a coffin maker
E-e-eye my 9 lives, and they're wasted, all
Miaow-aow-aow-aow-aow, science really sucks!

Miaow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow
Miaow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow-aow

This is funny but, I don't have an answer to your philosophical question about the solo, Peter. :-) 555

A "certain" satellite radio company has the annoying habit of announcing "This is the instrumental" over (yep) the instrumental part of a song. Ones to them, Fives to Peter for another physics phunny.

Purr-fect pacing, especially notating the carried syllables in the chorus. Thanks for the shout-out in the intro comment as well. As for the question posed, if one skips an Alice in Chains' solo he is guilty of incredibly poor taste in music. If one skips the solo for, say, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, then he has saved 14 minutes of his life!. 555.

It makes no sense at all really. I find it kind of off pace and the "mioaw" thing was very repetitive, which just took up space in the song. Overall, it was alright. 3-3-3
