| Parody Song Title: | "Yet Bored Again (Bad Weather End!)" |
| Parody Written by: | Red Ant |
Not a hell of a lot to do at 5 in the morning; sleep is out of the question too when the weather is like this.
[intro]
Sit wonderin'
It's thunderin'
Fair-weather friend? - denied.....
Wind's blowing strong
In all night long
Sit and piss away the time.....
Time.....
Can you detect
The storm's effect?
Can't pretend if there's no 'shine....
Night......
Yeah.....
(oooh.... the night's gone... no lights on... oh my!...)
(oooh.... the night's gone... no lights on... oh my!...)
It's almost day
Sun-shines? No way!
Thick fog it hides for miles....
Here I do sit
Yet bored again
Just CDs and coupled lines.....
Lines......
Write......
Yeah......
(oooh.... the night's gone... I write on... the lines...)
I do expect
Forecasts correct
Weathermen they always lie......
My news today
From 'warm' VA:
Think winter for a while.....
[solo]
Sit wonderin'
(oooh.... the night's long... my mind's gone... no light....)
Yet bored again
(oooh.... the night's gone... the light's on... oh my!....)
Sit wonderin'
(oooh.... the night's long... my mind's gone... no light....)
Bad weather end!
(oooh....July come.... a bright sun... I'd like....)
[fade out]
Sit wonderin'
It's thunderin'
Fair-weather friend? - denied.....

The sound was familiar, but not the song, is it from some Post AiC compilation, or is it early dementia on my side?

DKTS, but reads quite poetic...fives
Wonderful sound and parody. The end echo phrases must have been difficult to do. 5's
Thansk Peter, AFW and Pat. Peter, this OS was one of the last Layne recorded with Alice in Chains; "Fear The Voices" and "Died" were the other two recorded in 1998-1999 (he also did a cover of Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall - Pt. 2" with Class of '99 for The Faculty soundtrack).
DKTOS, but forecast says 555 degrees.
Well done, Jack. Fits the OS to a tee. 555
Thanks Larry and Rick. Rick, thanks for d/l TOS (and thanks Peter for providing it); while I don't usually go for exact syllable matching there wasn't much else to do with this song (well, I do have a whatfreaks idea for it. Maybe one day...)
