Song Parodies -> Clarity
| Original Song Title: | "Confusion" |
| Original Performer: | Alice In Chains |
| Parody Song Title: | "Clarity" |
| Parody Written by: | Adagio |
Took no time to think at all
I gave you grief, you know I'm acrid
Somewhere in my mind
It is not you at all
You've penned pleas, you crawl.
I want that fact to be, actualize not appease
Prove, hex, pain, delusion, upbraiding
Things I'm trying, hope you feel a sting
Willing to hear reasons, I have said
Thinking, my ire's waning, it has fled.
So I quit, think of my luck
It's my trait, it's not you at all
Why act up? I call.
I want to be set free, neutralize my unease
Love checks, gain clarity, accepting
You're left sighing, "Has she lost her bean?"
Finding my way deeper in my head
Thinking again, clowning again, read.
Now I've time to tear that wall
I've laid my jeers, refined again
I do please not brawl
I want to be set free, neutralize my unease
Love checks, gain clarity, accepting
You're left sighing, "Has she lost her bean?"
Finding my way deeper in my head
Thinking again, clowning again, read.
I gave you grief, you know I'm acrid
Somewhere in my mind
It is not you at all
You've penned pleas, you crawl.
I want that fact to be, actualize not appease

Thank you, Red Ant, for the lyrics!
Adagio, you haven't lost your bean, when you can write lines like these!
Thanks, Johnny ( sigh of relief over the "bean").
DKTOS but it read well as prose...5s
Thanks alvin.
Pat; first the very few things that bothered me a bit; you missed the "yeahs" and the last line of "Love, sex, pain, confusion, suffering" (which was my fault for not including them). BUT, you did an excellent and outstanding job on pacing and catching so many internal rhymes (and varying a chorus as well), on this, one the most difficult Alice in Chains songs to parody. Big 5s and great great job!! :-)
Jack, thanks! (blush) (blush) hehe...it grew on me while I was working on it. Next time, I'll include the "yeahs" and the other.
You did miss the yeahs, 555, I like it.
Thanks, Step-Chan (darn yeahs)
Adagio-DKTOS but gotta say it certainly reads well. 5's
Thanks carol!
