The Lyrics

Take " Would ", " Man In The Box ", and " Am I Inside " and put them together and you get this. This is a very painfully true and unfunny story of a good friend of mine who is drinking himself to death. Writen from his and my perspectives. I tried to help him, but did little good ( though we still talk ). PS- Shelf is slang for a spot at the morgue, and D.T.s is from alcohol withdrawal. PSS-Downloaded lyrics are not complete, if you rate this by them pacing will look off, but Layne stretches 1syllable words into 2 and 3 on this song. The only positive aspects of this are its pacing, first submission from " Sap ", and the message that if you drink like him you will be him.
Drunkeness it follows me, thicker than Guiness
Drools on the sofa once again, virtually I'm grounded in $h!t

Sick is all he feels, now you know how it feels to be me

Now grounded he's just a hole, superficial comments used
And because he, once best friend
He stumbles dazed at home

Sick is all I feel, is not how I want for it to be, noo

The man's denied himself, Man's doomed to a shelf, oh
Man's behind his health, and yet he declined my help

D.T.s and hate following, alcohol it fouls him up
Only one thing makes him "feel", liquor better half of me

Sick is all I feel, I just wish he would stop and could see

Man's denied himself, Man's doomed to a shelf
Man's behind his health, and yet he declined my help

This almost sounds like it would be a real song that Layne would sing. I can just imagine...good job on a Sap parody. The songs off that album are so slow and differently paced, it makes it difficult to parody.

Thanks SJ. I REALLY wanted to parody " Right Turn " by Alice Mudgarden ( AIC and Soundgarden together, sure you know that ), but was drawing blanks. Also Got Me Wrong and Brother will be very tough as well, and the hidden track is unlistenable even to ME ( much like Irongland, but worse ).
