I never played this game myself, but this is a very nicely paced parody. Made me giggle. 5-5-5.
I kinda like Donkey Kong too. Actually he's my favorite Nintendo character, because he's so unpopular with the gaming community. I think it's because he doesn't have any special powers or anything like the rest of the cast. This is a good song, and I've played the game a few times, and I suck ass at it. Retro games I liked were Pac-Man, Snake, and Tetris, Oh and Pong!

Seriously excellent video game parody. Excellent rhymes and word subs, and not too specific on the content (not that SI is a real in-depth game..). You could probably make a good video parody of this in no time... on the other hand, singing like Steven Tyler, well, best of luck with that. 555.

I remember a colleague writing a space invaders-type game in VB when the first version came out... top speed was still so slow you had time for a coffee before each bomb dropped. It'd probably play OK on one of today's PCs, though. Great title sub, well-executed.

Very, very good. Took me right back to university, wasting all my beer money on Asteroids, Pac-Man, Frogger, and yes, Space Invaders. Excellent pacing, excellent parody.
SOTM - I remember when I was playing with Tylver, Liv Tyler that is, she'd make me shoot into space for sure, then I woke up and it was Game Over... :-)

-Originality: (A): There's a lot of common games like Monopoly, Clue, Twister, and Mario that you really could have made a parody of. Instead you chose a game that everybody knows and is still a pretty rare game, and that right there is thinking outside of the box. -Pacing: (A): I think that this was perfectly paced, and I had no trouble whatsoever reading it. -Comedy: (A-): There's not so much that you can do with Space Invaders it being a pretty simple game, but you did a pretty bang up job here coming up with stuff to fill in the blanks. You really should have submitted this one into the Aerosmith round, you probably would have won. -Overall (B+): One of your best. Great idea, very funny, and creative, the only problem I had was the repeating choruses, and that's what marked you down a point, but it was still a pretty impressive parody.
(SOTM-NOV) Now this game is a dinosaur. I got a "TI" computer for Christmas in the early 80s and this game was on it. I can relate. Good one. I played it so much I gave 'em all ASS-teROIDS. That's what they get for coming down butt first.

(SOTM) yes, I remember this from the Decath - this is definitely one of your best Mikey, because it paces SO well to the OS, and the choice of OS for the topic (and the title sub) were perfect - this is a tough SOTM contest already
