The Lyrics

You know that I'm sounding my air horn tonight, oh yeah
I've wanted to annoy the neighbors all my life, oh yeah
Can you hear me sounding my air horn tonight, oh yeah, oh yeah

Well, it's 11 o'clock at night
And most are fast asleep
But not after I sound my horn
They're all annoyed at me
And when they yell, I sound it more
So I don't hear them again
I started doing this once, when I was drunk
Now all the time to annoy them

You know that I'm sounding my air horn tonight, oh yeah
I've wanted to annoy the neighbors all my life, oh yeah
You know that I'm sounding my air horn tonight, oh yeah
I've wanted to annoy the neighbors all my life, oh yeah

And now I annoy everyone with it
Visitors, telemarketers, people walking by, even while driving
I even have air horn noise as my voicemail greeting, to be annoying
Places to go, people to annoy
Just like what the bumper sticker's saying

You know that I'm sounding my air horn tonight, oh yeah
I've wanted to annoy everyone all my life, oh yeah
You know that I'm sounding my air horn tonight, oh yeah
I've wanted to annoy everyone all my life, oh yeah

(ABC's) DKTOS - Reads OK but I think I missed your point here somehow.

(ABC) The Zen-like simplicity of this parody's utter stupidity delights me! This parody made me laugh out loud for real.

I need one of those.

(ABC)Hmm, i didn't see the pacing match with the bridge section at all. The simple idea seems a little forced onto this haunting song.

S-Round... The pacing seems awkwardly forced, but it's pretty funny.

Telemarketers deserve air horns - the rest of us don't.

I liked the telemarketers bit too!

As has been said, a couple parts were forced, pacingwise, but this song was so amusing I can't give it less than 4s. So 4/5/5 it is.

ABCs...the older I get the more of an "annoyed neighbor" I become...

Good idea. Pacing was a bit off in places, but a funny song.

I read your song Phil.... and I thought of this ..(from the L word archive...) an odd definition of sanity....???.. ...he had committed a public nuisance by 'purposefully following people, approaching and threatening children on the public highway, and the school playground, banging on the roofs of cars, walking in a public highway without regard for the safety of traffic, blocking the public highway, behaving in an intimidating manner on a public highway, imitating an ape, persistently provoking dogs to bark in the early hours of the morning, shouting and screaming in a public place and various other acts'. Other acts proved included having his backyard in an insanitary condition, playing one chord on the piano throughout the night, playing a radio at top volume at all times of the day and night whilst it was suspended on a rope out of his bedroom window, physically restraining people on the public highway from proceeding on their way, peering in the windows of houses and cars, creating a disturbance in a post office, kicking a dog up the street and assault. H was found guilty. A psychiatric report said that he was eccentric but sane.....
