| Parody Written by: | Bob Gomez |
Here's one for the ladies. To sing, that is.
The Rinse That Cleans My Things
Oh, oh, oh, oh -
So maybe you're not the greatest lover
You never bring roses or champagne
You make up for it when you wash the clothes
And spray the spots to hide the stains
You pick up the towels in every bathroom
And fill up the hamper down the hall
Then drag it and dump it in the washer, dear
And set it to medium, large or small
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
When you do the laundry just for me?
My former husband was a zero
but you are the rinse that cleans my things
I might be the one who does the dishes
Yes, I pull the weeds and wash the car
And who takes the kids to soccer practice? (Of course I do)
You couldn't state just where they are
But having clean underwear's a blessing
Now I have to thank you every day
And every time I see you folding so patiently
And sorting into piles I say
Did you ever know that you're my hero
When you do, when you do the laundry expressly for me?
Oh, and my, my former husband was a zero
but you are the rinse that cleans my things--
Yes, you are the rinse that cleans my things
Oh, the rinse that cleans my things
You, you, you, you are the rinse that cleans my things
Dry, dry, dry those clothes, You get them dry, so dry
Oh, you, you, you, the rinse that cleans my things
Oh, you, you, you, the rinse that cleans my things
Dry, dry, dry so high upon the line
So dry it almost gets me high
Thank you, thank you,
thank God for you, the rinse that cleans my things
Oh, oh, oh, oh -
So maybe you're not the greatest lover
You never bring roses or champagne
You make up for it when you wash the clothes
And spray the spots to hide the stains
You pick up the towels in every bathroom
And fill up the hamper down the hall
Then drag it and dump it in the washer, dear
And set it to medium, large or small
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
When you do the laundry just for me?
My former husband was a zero

Yes, I pull the weeds and wash the car
And who takes the kids to soccer practice? (Of course I do)

Oh, you, you, you, the rinse that cleans my things
Oh, you, you, you, the rinse that cleans my things
Dry, dry, dry so high upon the line
So dry it almost gets me high
Thank you, thank you,
thank God for you, the rinse that cleans my things
