I don't know what's funnier, the thought of Gomer Pyle in a Marine uniform, or the other scene this song suggests, Pyle riding a hog through the Southwest with Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda!

I can relate to this. My TI in USAF boot camp reminded me of Sgt Carter somewhat. Maybe it was that Smokey Bear hat he was wearing all the time and the genteel way he'd get in your face, literally, about 1/2 inch from your face. LOL. Fine parody. 5 "present arms" to you sir.
