I had the parody-posting equivalent of aphasia when I submitted the earlier version. Suggested by the original "Manchurian Candidate." Aphasia is the inability to speak, often brought on by injury to the brain. Trepanning is the process of surgically cutting bone.

Until they drill,
Not a peep I blare
Out comes just air.
Chinese doctors are trepanin' me-
Seek a neural branch to give me speech.

When all the mind-lancing is through,

And now they drill,
Smell the cranium burn;
Watch the bit turn.
Cerebral fix to get my mind right.
Can't say the hard words; I'm like Bush Lite.
