It's clear he's leeching makes his play,
He's got his well compiled line for use to bum
Please sir, would you spare of self some beef on bun?
But, if you'd please some change would part...

Wimpy just wants a burger,
He just wants one for himself.
Wend one off of a lender who will help.
Wimpy wants chew a burger,
He just wants one of his own.
He could use one with some fine cheddar,
From a small loan.

He begs you lend, he'll hound, he's got no shame,
He goes on contriving, a showman's ode.
Makes his play for invites and spare change, pries for dough,
He'll even take it ala carte.

Wimpy could use a burger,
He will eat it all his hungry self.
Tender's off, make the debtor someone else.
Wimpy can't lose his hunger,
He wants only one to own,
Comes next Tuesday, will pay the lender?
The debt that's loaned.

You sell yourself; you've got to dine,
So into eatin' beef fresh grind.
Sir, would you have some change you'd part?

Wimpy runs ruse for dinner,
Says he'll pay back all, no money welch.
Bite it off, feelin' better, then he'll belch.
Wimpy pursues hamburgers,
In his belly hunger groans.
You'll quite lose it if you're the lender,
Of Wimpy's loan.

Wimpy must lose his hunger,
Wimpy must lose his hunger,
Wimpy must lose his hunger...

I'll gladly treat Wimpy for a 555 Value Meal right now: 5 Double Cheeseburgers, 5 Large Fries, and 5 Large Sodas! He'll never go hungry again! Yeah, Wimpy is one of my favorite characters and I love watching Popeye as a kid. Wimpy has the same appetite as my bro. Better yet, I sure could go for some burgers as well!
