Think back on this little ditty next time you’re M.D. prescribes a lil' somethin' for that chronic back pain flair-up… ~ Don't know the OS? Jaunty Feelin’ Groovy MIDI here
Low moan—my high just passed
OxyContin wears off fast (now)
Pharma™* swore it won’t ad-dict
Poppin’ handfulls—
Feelin’ goofy!
Ba-da-da da da bad trip – feelin’ goofy!
Scorin’ ‘OC’ on the street’s how
I got broke, man—I don’t eat now
Grind ‘em up and 'base' it free
Shootin’ Oxy—
Reelin’, loopy!
Ba-da-da da da bad veins – reelin’, loopy!
I’ve got one goal in life
and Dude THAT’S my next high
No shame, I'd ‘Cobain’ or man-whore for ‘supplies’
I can stop ANYTIME—Pharma™ won’t lie to me!
I’M no addict—
Breathin’s croupy!
Ba-da-da da da bad brain – Seizin’, droopy!
Ba-da-da da da BADdict – Feelin’ duped-y!
~
{Paramedic: “This one’s a ‘Rush’ job…}
~~
* - Pharma (actually Perdue Pharma), maker of hugely popular narcotic pain killer OxyContin, and now infamous company whose president and top lawyer recently pled guilty to ‘understating’ ‘OC’s high potential for addiction and abuse. One of their studies apparently even showed that addicts could easily defeat the time-release coating and inject the drug.

You sure have a way with words, TJC! This was excellent; especially loved all the Ba-da da da variations. 555+
I'm addicted to your parodies...High humor, as always
I'm Rush-ing to judgement: 5s. Gives me an idea.
Nothing goofy about this. Five refills. But I couldn't help think of the joke about Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse getting divorced. Mickey is testifying, and the judge says, "Mr. Mouse, did you just say that your wife was mentally ill?" And Mickey says, "No, Your Honor. I say she was f---ing Goofy!"
i like the wordplay in this one...5s
rich with clever wordplay as usual TJC - I can tell you enjoy yourself writing these things - 555
Thanks all for your votes and kind comments... I would have written sooner, but its hard to type with this tourniquet on my arm!
