The Lyrics

I had to do it...
Litlte ditty, 'bout Merry and Pip
Theyve been sending our minds, on one crazy trip
Merry's gonna leave us confused
And Pip sure ain't helping, that much is true

Clues left in psotings, that we all see
The truth is creeping out
And that's what we need
Billy says, "I'll figure this out
Before they tell me"
The answer is out there
We'll know what they'll be
And posters say

Oh yeah, search is on
Long after Billy's mind ends up gone
Oh yeah, the search is on
Long after Billy's mind ends up gone, search stays on

Malcolm wonders, about their true gender
Who knows, if the answer will show.
"Well, ya know Pip, we could tell 'em we're Martians"
And then watch as they're heads all explode
And posters say

Oh yeah, search is on
Long after Malcolm's mind ends up gone
Oh yeah, the search is on
Long after Malcolm's mind ends up gone, search stays on

Is there a light
Ending this road
It's getting crazy, truth be told
So just tell us, give it a whirl
Boys will be boys
Girls will be girls

Little ditty 'bout Merry and Pip
Someone needs to end, this crazy old trip

I don't want to know! Don't tell me anymore! If we all knew the truth it wouldn't be any fun at all.

The original came out in the early 80s so it should be 80s not 70s.

Diva knows all..and Wild Man thorwing us off the trail? Could it be that Wilfd Man and Diva ARE Merry and Pippin? Well, how'd I do...Am I right? :)

Jared, sorry nice try, but you are incorrect. Wild Man is more confused about Mer & Pip than Malcolm. I have been told on many occasions that I am a clairvoyant. This mearly means I have an acute sense for seeing things out of the relm. Often times, I am correct about my perceptions about people. I'm sure Merry and Pippin are delighting in the puzze, that they've created, as are most of the readers are. I can assure you that we (Diva & Wild Man) are a different set of authors all together.

Diva, check your spelling. I think she meant puzzle , not puzze. I am confused, and I'm not so sure I wan't the riddle to end. I'm not so sure I want to know the real answer to be totaly honest. I have a Sister who is gay , and it took me years to accept her lifestyle.

Let me claify something. The gender of the writers should not be the real issue. Merry and Pippin are bona fide talents on this site. I am a dedicated fan, and I enjoy the riddles . I don't care to speculate on the gender subject any longer. It's not a real factor in their creativity.
