The Lyrics
For the record, Crystal Gayle has brown eyes, and is from Kentucky. (In fact, she's the much-younger sister of Loretta Lynn, and the cousin of the woman with the all-time most-perfect name for a country singer: Patty Loveless.) Kentucky hasn't gone Democratic (making it, in today's terms, a "Blue State") since Jimmy Carter in 1976. But then, she's not the narrator here. Not sure what State the narrator calls home, but, at the rate Georgie Bush and the Republicans are going, it may not matter.

Very clever title, but the introduction is confusing and the parody is stale. Since Kentucky has 2 Republican senators and a Republican governor and consistently votes Republican in presidential elections, it is a Red State. You were probably trying to say that, if and when, the state does go Democratic it will be a Blue State, but it wasn't one of your best sentences.

Not one of your best, but clever title sub and it kept me interested 'til the end, which is more than I can say for *some* other political parodies.
