The Lyrics

Told y'all I was a cat person! =^..^=
Every day, your dogs bark, I think this is my fourth complaint.
Every day, bark, bark, bark, you don't ever keep them restrained.
People can't sleep, they are angry,
Some say they wanna sue you,
They're takin' you to court.
Woof and bark, woof and bow-wow,
Can you stand it? No I can't!
And this has gone on such a long time,
Every day.

Every day, your dogs bark, I think this is my fourth complaint.
Every day, bark, bark, bark, you don't ever keep them restrained.
People talkin', they aren't happy,
One man wants to shoot them.
He's mad, he's mad, like the dickens,
He's reachin' for a gun, reachin' for a gun!
I might help him stop the noise.
Can he hit them? Yes he can!
And he's been waiting such a long time
For the day!

Slow motion drivers from animal control,
A cop man still can tell you to make your dogs behave.
Listen neighbors, all is not lost, all is not lost, oh no no.

Forty days in the pound, every day's the best of them all!
Forty days in the pound, then for the dogs that is all.
People smiling, people hugging,
A real celebration, peace and quiet at last, peace and quiet at last!
Yes we love it, really love it,
Can you dig it? Yes I can!
And we've been waiting such a long time
For today, yeah, yeah, yeah....

Michael - I looked around for a dog to get a 2nd opinion from but I don't have one. Looks like you're barking up the right tree here, though. 5-5-5

Oh man, this one's so funny it made me actually physically laugh out loud here at my desk!! Michael, this one's a howler, a scream, and a big-jowled-mastiff-laugh-and-a-half! 555

You must have good cops and animal control people in your neighborhood - where I live the dogs can run loose and terrorize the neighborhood and the AC people won't do anything about it. :-(

I can relate to that. My former neighbor had a dog that barked all through the night, and chased after people all the time. The neighbors also didn't take care of it well, and it became very hungry and sick. It was eventually taken away by animal control.

Best line: Slow motion drivers from animal control,

Merry - Are you kidding? This is San Antonio, I work on the east side and it's the roosters that you hear crowing at oh-dark-thirty when I get to work. It's really funny, you see a lot of roosters in these folks' back yard but there are no hens. No wonder these guys like to fight so much. There was a dog that kept howling all night behind my house. The only way to deal with it was to call the police and say you thought something violent was going on at that house because you heard yelling and the dog was going crazy. Otherwise they would never come out for such a complaint.

Michael, I really liked this parody.

(ABC3) What a cooincidence! I just got some spam e-mail about PetMeds...lol. I have a dog, but training takes care of the barking. A wooof to your meow. And 5 barks.

(ABC3E) Pretty dog-gone good work here MM, though I couldn't get "complaint" to scan over "of July". 455. I can totally sympathize too; barking dogs are high up on my list of pet peeves (groan....).

(ABC3E) great flow to this Mike - it brought the OS right back to me from the fuzziness of my memory, and a topic true to my heart, being an inner suburbanite - 555

(ABC3E) A few minor pacing glitches, Michael...but not enough to stop you from earning the triple nickel. This was a very fun, original parody. 555
