| Parody Song Title: | "Gypsies Tramps and Thieves" |
| Parody Written by: | Phil Alexander |
I've just come back from Louis Trichardt, South Africa, where I was installing some systems in what will be when it opens the largest privately-run prison in the world, with 3024 inmates. All the main doors in the prison are controlled by pneumatics - just under one thousand, six hundred doors makes for a lot of compressed air.It is called Kutama Sinthumule Maximum Security Prison
Just about a year ago South Africa start-
ed building a prison down in Louis Trichardt
With three thousand in there it'll be a big squeeze
Sixteen hundred doors, but they ain't gonna have
any keys
[CHORUS]
Gypsys, tramps, and thieves
There's three thousand of them in Kutama Sinthumule
Gypsys, tramps, and thieves
Locked up tight, maximimum security
Is how it's gonna be
Motion detection on their CCTV
Highest high-tech prison Africa has ever seen
Fingerprint checking in and out
Stupid US uniforms
Cost them a fortune if an inmate ever gets out
[CHORUS]
They never used computers but they learn't them well
I guess they were well taught
Three weeks later and they're getting in prisoners
All the criminals that they've caught, uh-huh
The criminals that they've caught, uh-huh
Only a week ago, they opened a smart
And high-tech prison down in Louis Trichardt
The biggest of its kind, worthwhile fees
Sixteen hundred doors, they still ain't gonna have
any keys
