I walked to Milwaukee.
Journeyed to Poughkeepsie.
I loped to Shakopee.
Then bummed a ride to Maumee.
I walked to Milwaukee.
Journeyed to Poughkeepsie.
I loped to Shakopee.
I’ll lace up my walkin’ shoes, my foot blisters really hurt.
I’ll hitch hike in search of work, to towns with names that sound funny.
Didn’t I, didn’t I, didn’t I see you drivin’?
Oh, didn’t I, didn’t I, didn’t I see you drive?
Wheelin’ all around to find a job, you know that I’m hitch hikin’.
Oh, but didn’t you, didn’t you, didn’t you drive right by?
I walked to Milwaukee.
Proceeded to Poughkeepsie.
Then loped to Shakopee.
And begged a ride to Maumee.
I’ll head off to Kalamazoo, in search of brewery work.
I’ll work for beer and food, if they say that they want me.
Didn’t I, didn’t I, didn’t I hear they’re hirin’?
Oh, didn’t I, didn’t I didn’t I go apply?
Dealin’ half the day with HR hacks, you know it’s pretty tryin’.
Oh, but didn’t I, didn’t I, didn’t I really try?
Fillin’ out this job app form, you know I feel like lyin’.
Oh, didn’t I, didn’t I, didn’t I still apply?
I walked to Milwaukee.
Proceeded to Poughkeepsie.
Then loped to Shakopee.
And begged a ride to Maumee.
I walked to Milwaukee.
I walked to Milwaukee.
I walked to Milwaukee.
I walked to Milwaukee.
Journeyed to Poughkeepsie.

Prime parapatetic parodyin'
sir, it's been an economic travesty in old Mil' town since the 80's, when the manufacturing got outsourced to the Orient . . .
Hi there - you have a very clever concept, but I live in the Twin Cities and speak Minnesotan fluently. Shakopee is pronounced "SHAW-kuh-pee." Otherwise - great job!
