The Lyrics

My response to the idea that Iraq is another Vietnam. Did our troops capture Hanoi and later find Ho Chi Minh in a mousehole, as their successors did with Baghdad and Saddam? Ironically however, Iraq could still become Vietnam, if Bush changes his mind and does what his critics want, which is to pull out. This would be seen as an admission of weakness, which is precisely what inspires jihadi terrorism. And like our pullout from Nam, it would not lessen anti-Americanism, but will greatly increase it.
Lefties saying, yeah, they're saying, get out of Iraq
For once they care about our troops, they want them all coming back
Just the other day I heard a soldier was amazed
At all the negative press that's going 'round

Say what you want, say what you want
But watch what you're asking for
Surrender, surrender
And throw our lives out the door, oh, oh, oooooh

Father was a teen when we dropped two atomic bombs
When I was younger, I would learn of the war down in Vietnam
Now, I have heard the left say Iraq's Bush's Vietnam
But our troops did not take Hanoi, nor capture Ho Chi Minh

Say what you want, say what you want
You've got your right to free speech
Surrender, surrender
Too bad that it's what you teach, ee, ee, eeeeeee

[key change]
If we pull out of there, all those terrorists will shout and cheer
Thousands more will be created, and they will come here
Search for ways to deal with them, I say there's only two
It's a fairly simple choice, kill them or let them kill you

Say what you want, say what you want
But I have the same right, too
Surrender, surrender
Is what you want us to do, do, doooooooo

Won't doooooooooo
Won't doooooooooo
(repeat last chorus)
What's the Arabic word for "surrender"? Hint: Dubya wrongly thinks this word means "peace".
