Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Well I tried to watch it one day, at age 5 or 6, I guess
But I didn't make it halfway, 'cause it sucked, I must confess
There weren't near enough explosions, falling anvils, or spit-takes
(But it was nice to have no commercial breaks)

Well, I keep on thinkin' 'bout that "Mister Roger's Neighborhood"
And I just can't really help it, but I now think it was good
Why've I got fond recollections, even though I rarely viewed?
He was one class act, that sneakered, sweatered dude

Will you meet me on the trolley, to that land of make-believe?
Will we hang with puppet dollies, up until it's time to leave?
Well as a small tike it, really bored me, but now I like it

Well I keep on thinkin' 'bout that "Mister Roger's Neighborhood"
How it sucked bad as a child, but improved in adulthood
And I love that the diorama, as the opening credits play
Although as a tot, I thought it kinda ghey

Will we see King Friday's castle, or maybe the Great Oak Tree?
Will we see one of his vassals, like the Handyman Negri?
And, that Lady A, oh I thought her hawt, back in the day, yo

Doo wop doo wop ...

One of those TV memories I never had, like Howdy Doody. Only saw him on tribute shows and news announcements. Looked like an all right fellow. At 5 or 6 I liked explosions and plane crashes better.
