The Lyrics

Ever have an ad on some random website that wouldn't shut the hell up? This dude has...
Most ads are mutable, but thi-is one won't shut right up
This ad's not mutable, it's so dumb, it drives me nu-u-uts
I don't know how the hell it got round my AdBlock, but
It's still not mutabl-le, it needs to die-ie
Damn ad won't die

"Can't be unmutable, even ads won't cross that li-ine
Why not mute the tab? Then ev'rythin' would be just fi-ine"
I muted ev'ry tab I had open and guess what?
Ad still ain't mutabl-le, it just won't go away
It's piercin' in my brain
There's no "close" button I can fi-i-i-i-ind
Both my browsers, dude
Fi-irefox and Chrome too
Refreshed the page, it's still there, why-y-y-y-y-y-y?

Ad's still unmutable, I'll restart my damn laptop
That ad unmutable, pain in arse, better be go-one
Open the page, looks like it's no longer there, all ri-ight
But ads unmutable are showin' up ev'rywhere else, oh-ooh-whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-ooh-whoa-oh-oh-oh, oh-ooh-whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-ooh-whoa-oh, oh-ooh-whoa-oh

I just Googled "unmutable" because it didn't register in my Firefox dictionary, and it said it's an obsolete form of "immutable", which means "not capable of or susceptible to change". That does kind apply here, but "unmutable" sounds closer to my intended meaning of "unable to be muted" because it's about sound. Also "unmutable" scans better with "unusual" than "immutable". This has been your pointless trivia of the day.

It's actually possible to add your own definitions and block an element that slipped through the filters. In uBlock Origin, which I use personally, just right-click on an ad you want to get rid of, click Pick, select the offending element, and then click Create. That being said some sites are ridiculously insistent on telling you to disable your ad blocker, like on Hackintosh.zone where said site would lock you out of their site and nag you with a full-screen notice.
