The Lyrics

I had a feeling someone may have done this already: Tim Mayfield's "Found by Cylons." This is a little different.
Hello, Baltar, my old friend.
It seems you've betrayed us again.
But this time is different-seeming.
It's a different way you've been scheming.
It's not evil that is planted in your brain.
It's lust, your shame.

I hear the sound
of Cylons.

Back in nineteen seventy-eight
I watched some sci-fi that was great.
On Channel 7, there on ABC
Lorne Greene, he led the ragtag fleet
against guys that were robots
with one eye, back-and-forth red light
that split the night.

I heard the sound
of Cylons.

And in this interstellar war
lost billions of people and more.
And through space survivors were winding
hoping that Earth one day, they're finding.
Fighting electron... ic voice'd, silver-skinned
multi-sinned

guys with the sound
of Cylons.

Fooled with idea, this I know
for current audience it grows.
Enemy now looking quite human.
Sleeper cells they have been long brewin'.
And for Number Six
my eyes popped, my jaw fell...

I relished
new look
of Cylons!

And sci-fi fans, they said, "Well-played!"
over the new version they made.
And this idea they're renewing
got a new generation viewing.
And the fans said
"The words of the prophets
are written on Galactica's walls!"
They've got some balls.

Heavy breathing...
new sound...

of Cylons...
