The Lyrics

New Amirighters will discover that reading John Barry's parodies (Barrodies?) is better and more fun than all those "word power" courses -- and it's free! OS here . Title add-on was to distinguish this from alvin rhodes' parody with the same name, but about Bonds, not John.
Barry, dig him? Yes, yes, I do
Ahh, the guy's recondite, yeah
Planetary or... prosody:
Syzygetic insight, yeah

Hey, he's got the big vocabulary
He's got discursive "dysentary", Barry
He writes the jeremiad
He writes the clever dyad
All, write

Idioticon: coruscation
Gallimaufric confabulation
Mmm, we dig
With much delectation:
Periphrastic raciocination
Awe, right?

Writes stuff so right, yeah, yeah, he does
Ah, so ex-pository
Excursuses autochthonous
Supererogatory

Hey, he drinks the Scotch libation, Barry
He makes the eructation, Barry, maybe
His fulminations: vicious
His limericks: flagitious

Yeah, his prose: daedal desideratum
Erudite exegeses? He's got 'em
Ah, his memory's photographic
Barry, man, is quite polymathic

Hey, he's known for bloviation, Barry
Risible susurration, Barry, slay me
Lyrical adumbration
Limning concatenation
Barry...

Jason, thanks... alvin, thanks... must admit that not too many writers send me to the dictionary, but JB does me also.... Michael Pacholek, thanks... Ann Hammond, Thanks!

what Ann Hammond said - incomparable, inimitable and transcendant (much like JAB's stuff) - super job as always TT - 555

This was amazing TT! Barry Barry entertaining and ilustrative of five star premium parody constructs. Its probably ineluctable too, but I'm not quite sure about that!

TJC: Well, try elucting it and see what happens :-) ... thanks, TJ.

Good work Tommy. Sorry I missed it earlier. Very barry-esque.

Back for a second look (my biannual perigrinations [or am I just peripathetic?])...! and verdict? Just as ineluctable as I remembered... ahhh... your cache of 5's still have that risible sussuration I'm so fond of... Top Notchery, TT!

This is ~CAB0-WABO ~ indeed, Senor TaTas ! A tribute to our own Pirate Jacques de Bray, Le Marquis au ~HMS SirSweaty~. merci, MonSieur !

TJC: So, did you ever actually try elucting it? lol ... clever to work in the commenter above, to bat back parowords, and "peripathetic" was "veryperceptic"! Thanks for watching the two-year non-intant replay, or, as television calls "reruns", "encore presentation"!

unKnownVO: Merci, merci me! Thanks for v/c, uKVO!

I see you've got the voJABulary as well. You two must be macrocephalic to have such vast amounts of grey matter - I'm surprised you're not more big-headed about it

Andy Primus: A turtle's brain is about the size of a pea (true) -- literally, "pea-brained". :-)

FWIW, John and I had a very friendly "rivalry" going for a little while after my arrival in 2006. No links or plugs (unless you ask lol)., but he definitely pushed me to do my best, and I learned a few words in the process. .....Thanks for delayed v/c. Sorry I missed it over the long holiday weekend in the West Pond.
