Song Parodies -> "The Mighty Spaff"

Original Song Title:

"The Mighty Quinn"

Original Performer:

Manfred Mann

Parody Song Title:

"The Mighty Spaff"

Parody Written by:

Malcolm Higgins

The Lyrics

inspired by Guy's comment to "Pedophilia" a Michael Jackson masterpiece.
come along and shout, come along and laugh,
we've just seen something by the mighty spaff
come along and shout, come along and laugh,
we've just seen something by the mighty spaff

everybody's writing songs and rhymes
some are dumb, it's obvious, Spaff is leading our times
songs can mock despair, Mike's little girls and boys
but when spaff the dynamo writes here,
it's a 5-5-5 oh boy..

come along and shout, come along and laugh,
we've just seen something by the mighty spaff

I like to write just like the rest, my subject list complete
but cutesy cues, and writing waste, just ain't my cup of tea
no one can compate, it seems, they just write and send them in
'cause when spaff the dynamo writes here,
it's a 5-5-5 again...

come along and shout, come along and laugh,
we've just seen something by the mighty spaff
come along and shout, come along and laugh,
we've just seen something by the mighty spaff

let me write what I wanna write, I can't just write them all
I do 'em up and I fire 'em in, but not like Spaff at all
nobody is safe it seems, there's stuff just Spaff's, we know,
'cause when spaff the dynamo writes here,
you just can't vote them low..

come along and shout, come along and laugh,
we've just seen something by the mighty spaff
come along and shout, come along and laugh,
we've just seen something by the mighty spaff
come along and shout, come along and laugh,
we've just seen something by the mighty spaff
come along and shout, come along and laugh,
we've just seen something by the mighty spaff

Malcolm, I see you took my cue. I would have waited a few days and if no one did this I would have made an attempt at it. I think you did better than I could have. Very fitting tribute to the mighty Spaff.

And that's why I call him Mighty Spaff.

Thanx a bazillion, Professor Higgins. I never would have expected this from you, so I'm thrilled beyond repair. Great stuff. And I see that you used the word "masterpiece," so your Parodayola check is in the mail. Thanks also to Johnny DD for coming up with the nickname (which I now force all my loved ones to use) and to GD'R for the clever song idea.

Also, Malcolm, I don't know if you caught it, but I dedicated a parody to you a while back:

well well well, quite a love in here all right.. pip pip tally ho, on with the bollocks and off with the trousers then eh? you've done some great things here. I don't know if anyone noticed, but my output has steadily climbed again to "regular submitter" I intend on hitting 2000 by year's end, or shortly thereafter. like will graham said about hannibal lector in "manhunter" (still the best hannibal, btw) "he won't stop.. he's got a genuine taste for it." all the best spaffies. keep up the funny work
