This song is about the MyDoom virus that swept the nation a few months ago. Please forgive the pacing - there are a lot of words in the original that don't rhyme with anything.
I got MyDoom in my email spread across the nation
Set up a backdoor, got my network resources, sudden and startling
.zip files, in attachments, deleted my archives
Norton smiles on your leaving my computer
I searched in Drive C through all 40 gigabytes
Until I found MyDoom, and deleted it by myself
The news said no tech nerds could decode it, too frustratin'
It deleted all my files, goodbye Windows
So I gave Norton a $1000 donation
Then they announced they had cracked it, updates comin'
I'll download the patch make sure it never comes back
But I found it and destroyed it all by myself
At the party I was coolest in the tech crowd
Great frustration from the virus now forgotten
Switched to Mac OS Tiger, and the virus met its demise
Bill Gate's just guessing, goodbye Windows, virus scan starting
In tech world I live with the geeky crowd
