Michael - Katsa very good parody, I tink...I thought it was all 5's, and that's what I clicked. I am partial to cats although it's been many a year since I actually had one. I used to just wait until my brother got in a situation where he couldn't keep one and then I'd take care of it for him 'til he got resettled. He's not around anymore so...no cats for me, either.
i come from a family of cat freaks so I know where you are coming from. Cats are nice to look at nice to cuddle, nice to pet and nice to smell and listen to.
Good job cat-freak! There are many of us. I didn't discover cats until later in life, had no idea what I was missing. My wife and I have 6 now, all rescues. Here's something that you or someone out there may find useful: Is your cat about 10-12 yrs old, eating like a horse (or not much at all) and losing weight, and behaving kinda jumpy? Your cat may be hyperthyroid, whereby its thyroid gland has developed (usually benign) tumors that can dramatically increase the amount of a substance called T4 which influences breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, the metabolism in general. This is VERY serious, but can be successfully treated 98% of the time with Iodine 131. (Do a search on feline hyperthyroidism, "radiocat" is one of many good sites.) Just got one of ours back 2 wks ago and he's doing fine again.
I'll remember that for future ref, but Spot turned 1 earlier this month, he's slender and only eats when he's hungry. -- MM
