The Lyrics

I honestly remember the last time I actually had pizza delivered, we always picked it up at the pizza place. However, the resentment felt towards lateness is a feel I know all too well. Hence, parody. Enjoy!
I ordered pizza to shut up my stomach
Two pepperonis, both of them were deep dish
A side of garlic bread, that should deal with my gut's roar

But are the bakers still scratching their buttocks
It's been an hour and I have seen zip
I'm still here waiting for a knock upon my front door

This is obscene
You're with me, right?
Cause this is bullcrap, you agree
This isn't fine
They live next to meeeeeeeeeeee

Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh, where's my pizza?
It's not like you have to cross town
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh, I want pi-izza-a
Inside my stomach nooooooo-ow

Could they be lazy, did they just forget it?
It can't be because I diiiiidn't pay
I always give them cash in the same way
Through a wall crack
I know they took it, I can feel that

Screwing with me
That isn't right
At least their slogan means it's free
Get back my fives
Give them back to meeeeeeeeeeee

Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh, where's my pizza?
This close to storming in there now
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh, I want pi-izza-a
I'm watching "On The Tooooooo-own"

What's on the taaaa-aaaable nooooooo-ow?

I cannot believe
But in my sight
There are my two pepperonis
This can't be right
Door was locked by keeeeeeeeeeeey

Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh, there's my pizza!
Did they break in my back door, wow
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh, I want pi-izza-a
Might need a re-heat nooooooo-ow

Oh, silly me
That serves me right
For watchin' old films on TV
I'll know next time
To look behind meeeeee-ee-ee-eeeee-ee

Forgot my garlic bread, they'll pay for that one for suuuuuuuuuu-ure

Double twist!

Decent parody but it raises a couple of questions. 1- What is "On The Town" and what does it have to do with anything in this parody about late pizza and 2- If it's late and you live right next door why don't you just walk next door and get it for yourself. A lot of places won't even deliver if you live right next door (at least I think they won't... I don't live right next door to any pizza joints and if I did I wouldn't be so lazy as to not walk over there myself instead of getting charged extra for delivery)

The idea is that the singer is too busy watching the film "On The Town" to a) pick up his pizza himself or b) notice that it's already there. I'll admit I wasn't clear on the lazy point. Besides, if the guy just walked in and got his pizza, the parody would be over in two lines.

Cop: That's a good point but how did it get there without you noticing. I don't think pizza guys just leave your pizza sitting on the back porch like a newspaper maybe they do in Australia but that's not really done here and if somebody else got the pizza I'm sure they would have been at least included in your parody and have told you that you're pizza has arrived. Just playing Devil's Advocate here. It's a good parody but raises a few questions.

Like I said, too busy watching the film too notice. I apologise if I come off as argumentative, I'll definetely check for possible plot holes next time ;)

Conceivably, the delivery person could have banged on the door multiple times, frustration mounting, until he finally gives up and leaves it on the porch. But still it kinda pulls away the sense of logic, even in the world of silly pop music parodies.

Not bad, I always love a double twist. I thought the joke of "guy lives right next to a pizza place" should have been saved for the end (instead of "slipped money through crack of the wall" line). I'll also give you the benefit of the doubt and assume the delivery guy knocked a couple times before leaving it outside the door...nice work!

Simple topic, but still a lot of fun. I enjoyed reading this lot. The story was absolutely the silliest thing ever. That's why I liked it.

It's all about the timing, sometimes we're just unlucky.
