I'm at badave.com As with past work that parodies covers, I know this is a cover of a 1984 song, to be honest I don't like the 1984 version that much (not as fun) so I parodied No Doubt's 2003 cover version which I felt more represented the angst I was going for with my lyrics than the original song. Not to mention for me it represents the end of Gwen Stefani's good days, the last good thing she did (Some may argue, but I like her as No Doubt's lead singer, on her own--well I won't go into that, there's no point preaching to a choir--I've more than seen the general opinion of Gwen's solo work on AmIRight, it's good to know I'm not the only one who feels that way.)

This has been a Below Average Dave Production, All Rights Reserved For the record, I am a fan of Madonna, however the "Ray of Light" album featured just two songs I really liked, one of which is it's namesake. . .that and the other album that I felt most ripped off by didn't fit as well in the song. . .

What is the album you feel most ripped off by? This is exactly why I burn DVDs, and download music off Limewire they try to rake every dime out of you on worthless crap.

The song structure didn't leave much to work with after the second verse, didn't it? Is this an old one for you, Dave? You've challenged yourself since then.
(ABC5 O) Well done, but I think AG is right. The song itself doesn't give you a lot to start with. I liked the theme and the rhymes and phrasing followed the OS well.

(ABC) Good idea, good theme, not a bad little parody, but it didn't turn me on...probably because of the OS which left me flat...sorry. 5-4-5.
