Song Parodies -> Reality Dream
| Original Song Title: | "Gemini Dream" |
| Original Performer: | Moody Blues |
| Parody Song Title: | "Reality Dream" |
| Parody Written by: | Adagio |
I see, a tree
Some slime for you and me.
So fine, so good.
It does corrode
Like I knew it would.
Quite right, this song,
My state of mind,
This is no wrong.
A cheer, tonight is right,
To roll the troll,
It is alr-r-r-right.
Go get some stout
Slime makes it murk.
Can't go without
Can't go without
Special brew for tonight.
No Sprite, here's some blight
Drink it real slow.
You'll see a sight
Waiting, for you.
Guarantee,
My special brew.
In this place, reality dream
I'm reshaping the present that I have seen.
Succumb to me, no feet of clay.
Now take that sweet cup,
You know you're gonna wake up in reality dreams.
Turned round with glee
And I grin
Yes, I did deceive
Made use of
All this trance
See a view
You'll be glad
Used the tree too
(instrumental)
Know a place, reality dream
There's no escaping from the things we have seen.
Mix slime in with the stout, we pay.
You're gonna wake up
Know you're gonna wake up in unreality dream.
Long time, no see
Or were you up
Even 'fore me?
Don't fear,
We got it right.
I see two coals
Where there was s-s-s-ight.
I don't get
It was legit,
I was fit,
Without a doubt.
It was murk.
Can't go without.
Can't go without.
Special brew for tonight.
(her)
I see, a tree
No slime for you and me.
A place I could
Secret - no road
You misunderstood.
Some slime for you and me.
So fine, so good.
It does corrode
Like I knew it would.

Good job, Adagio - good pacing, fits the original song ( which I know well ), so 5's. But... who is the story-line about ?
Thanks Johnny, I was interested to get your take on it. Basically, it's about a guy who makes a trippin' concoction out of slime and stout in order to ...er take advantage of his GF, but at the end she says that he was fooling himself...she only wanted to heed nature's call behind that tree..:). In other words, nobody in particular.
