The Lyrics

A simple song about Frankenstein's Monster, or at least a similar concept. Enjoy!
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh

I hear talking, am I conscious?
Why am I strapped onto this bed?
Don't like the look of that scientist
Ranting 'bout his creation born of lightning
Hang on, is that creation me?
Is that why my body's ten percent stitch?

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Something here seems wrong
With these bolts stuck in my neck (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
I feel pretty off, though
Re-stitched corpses, that's the smell (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
But I still can't tell (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Just why I was created (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
What's the reas'ning for my being? (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)

Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh

I try talking, word's aren't leaving
Out of my mouth, what gives?
Broken voicebox, big design flaw there
Folks from the village think I'm a monster
And since I can't pronounce my pleas
My unnat'ral life, they wish to end

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Here they come, pissed off (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
With their pitchforks and torches (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
I can't run, just lurch (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
And what of you, scientist? (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
You've just taken off (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Won't you lend your "son" some help? (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
You won't save me? (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
But you made me
Why'd you make me?

Yeah-eah, oh-oh
Yeah-eah, oh-oh-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh-oh
Yeah-ee-yeah-eah, yeah-ee-oh

My money's on "because SCIENCE" being the reason why Frankenstein made the creature.

This is a pretty sweet Gotye song too! Only problem the layout of the song doesn't give you a lot of room for big laugh lines in here. It's certainly an interesting story but no laugh out loud moments for me.

The sad thing is that the monster was probably more sympathetic than Frankenstein for the most part which probably demonstrates the responsibility that could have been had, if there's any.

Like Max says, the monster is a sympathetic creature, and you kind of had that thoughtful melancholy in the parody...not LOLs, but still thoughtful.

I agree with the general consensus that it's well written, but not many opportunities for lawls. I like the title switch and the pacing was pretty solid with the original. Nicely done.

(Artistry) The comedy definitely suffered from the structure of the OS. Not a lot of space for big jokes, but as far a the tone and story goes, this was solid. Very thinky, Frankenstein's Monster is always a great character to do change of perspective parodies with. I liked the voicebox line, too. Nice simple joke. Maybe a few more of those peppered in would've helped the funny. As is, not hilarious, but a thought-provoking, sweet story.
