Cyndi Lauper's, "Hole In My Heart (All The Way To China)"
The Lyrics:
This hole in my heart that goes all the way to China
Why:
A reference to the country of China, even though the notion of a "hole all the way to China" is a cliched hyperbole. It is an expression that I've often heard in the U.S. at least, where it seems to be used as if China represented the complete opposite side of the world from the U.S. It actually does not, by quite a long way. For most of the U.S. at least, the actual antipode (compete opposite side of the Earth) is somewhere in the Indian Ocean, closer to Australia than to China.
