Funniest Song Lyrics:
"A Fine Romance"
The Funny Lyrics: We should be like a couple of hot tomatoes
But you're as cold as yesterday's mashed potatoes Why They're Funny: In algebra class, my teacher sometimes plays jazz and oldies off an Internet radio station. One day, she turned it on, and while I was doing my homework, this annoying 30s song came on. When it came to this line, everybody in the class just started laughing hysterically. The teacher was clearly embarrassed.

Songs That Open With Their Titles:
"I'll Be Seeing You "
Opening Lines: I'll be seeing you in all the old familiar places That this heart of mine embraces all day through In that small cafe, the park across the way
Comments: "Ill Be Seeing You" is very associated with World War II because it was sung by many artists on the radio and also on Bob Hope's tours. But the song was originally written before the war, in 1938, by Irving Kahall & Sammy Fain. It would have a resurgence of interest when Ginger Rogers performed it in the movie by the same name, in 1944, when Rogers starred as an ex-convict. Liberace would also made it a signature song of his. But many artists have recorded versions of it since 1944.
