For months I thought this was the dumbest song ever written, I mean, duh, people don't live out of trees, maybe he's singing about monkeys... I couldn't make sense of it, so I decided it was a metaphor for being so blissfully in love with eachother that you don't need material objects, like you know, shelter. The lighters were perhaps stars in the sky (which you have a lot of time to stare at if you're living in a tree). Then a few days ago I was driving and this some came on and I was like "Oh wait, he said "dreams" not "trees". I can't stop laughing at my own stupidity.
