Pink Floyd's, "Free Four"
The Lyrics:
The memories of a man in his old age
Are the deeds of a man in his prime.
You shuffle in gloom of the sickroom
And talk to yourself as you die.
Life is a short, warm moment
And death is a long cold rest.
Why:
"Free Four", recorded in 1972, has the jauntiest little melody you will ever hear in a Floyd tune, with the start of some of the dark depressing stuff that Roger Waters would fully explore in the rest of his career in the band.

Pink Floyd's, "Jugband Blues"
The Lyrics:
It's awfully considerate of you to think of me here,
And I'm much obliged to you for making it clear that I'm not here...
Why:
The song, written by Syd Barret has a catchy, psychedelic vibe and accompanied by a Salvation Army band playing in the background, but could be interpreted as Syd's downfall into drug-induced psychosis. What IS known is that it was Syd's "goodbye" to the band after being kicked out.
