Marty Robbins', "Tonight Carmen"

The Lyrics:

I've thought of just taking these two hands and breaking
The body I'm waiting to touch.

Why:

The late country singer Marty Robbins was generally likeable and I enjoy a whole lot of his songs. But this is not one of his songs with the greatest of lyrical integrity. Strangely enough, this was what my mother always called one of her favorite of his songs. Perhaps that's because it admittedly is melodically beautiful. But I'm guessing she never listened closely to all the words.
