She's got wonderful eyes
And a risque mouth
And when I asked her before
She said she's holding out
Technically the use of similar vowel sounds as opposed to straight rhyming is called assonance. And I have no problem with that, but since there are rhymes earlier in the song ('fire' with 'desire,' for instance) 'mouth' with 'out' just doesn't cut it. Though The Cars are still my favorite band, and I am by no means doubting Ric Ocasek's songwriting integrity.
